I am an intellectual who is both typical and atypical.
About me
- Typical, because I spend my days thinking about the world and my discipline.
-
Atypical, because I am not an intellectual who comments
(although I have the greatest respect for that caste)
but one who invents
(I model human behaviour in order to improve it).
Academic background
I always wanted to be a psychologist. To decode human beings, and to make them more beautiful. But also because of a strong taste for philosophy. After all, psychology is nothing more than philosophy applied to everyday human life. During my postgraduate degree (DESS), I had the opportunity to take part in the standardisation of the WAIS III (adult IQ test). My first contact with the world of “intelligence”, which I would later call “philocognition”. Neuroscience came later in my training: I was already a psychologist, I had already opened my practice and I was already giving talks and training courses. But whether with my patients or with participants at “my” events, I had the feeling, which I still consider entirely justified today, that I did not truly master my subject. I talked about the “psyche” all day long, yet I knew practically nothing about the brain. I did not want to settle for that, so I embarked on a PhD in psychology in neuroscience, conducting a brain imaging study from A to Z.

My first steps in understanding and using my mind came at the age of 9, in a hypnosis group for teenagers. So it was quite natural for me to train in hypnosis and in sophrology, its sister discipline, alongside my university studies. At university, I was also incredibly lucky to attend a rather confidential course with one of the pillars of the systemic approach, Luis Vasquez. I decided to enrol in his rigorous training on the subject. I discovered the Palo Alto school and systems theory, which, after hypnosis, became a defining element of my approach to supporting people. Then, during my PhD, I was trained in the inner workings of fMRI. Shortly afterwards, I became interested in the enneagram and trained in it. Later, as I was regularly asked to talk about human intelligence compared with artificial intelligence, I earned a certificate in AI so that I would know what I was talking about. Then one in neuromarketing before teaching students at Supdepub. And one in nutrition when it came to linking neurophysiology and food.
Beyond university
Private life
My husband and I met when we were 15. We went to the same middle school, then the same high school, and we first talked on the bus that took us to school. Julien is a philocognitive++. Ultra-sensitive. Passionate about art, literature and culture. Today he is an art dealer, specialising in the sale of manuscripts and letters (Napoleon, de Gaulle, Rimbaud, Baudelaire…). Victor was born in 2003. He skipped two school years. At 9, when he started secondary school, he was home-schooled so he could focus on his passion, tennis. He has travelled a great deal, and I know few people as self-disciplined as he is. He is also starting a modelling career (first photos by Jean-Daniel Lorieux for Pierre Cardin at the Palais Bulles!) and is training in acting. Rose was born in 2011. She skipped her first year of primary school because she could already read and write, but above all because in nursery school she could count to 5,000 and handle numbers in an astonishing way. Her talent is maths. Her passion is horse riding.
